Koreena Malone knew from a young age that she wanted to go into accounting. She showed a natural acumen for business and now has 25 years of professional experience. After years working for prestigious firms, Koreena ventured out on her own in 2014. KM Business Solutions, LLC, now serves small and mid-sized businesses and individuals offering consulting, coaching, bookkeeping, and tax preparation. The Bloom Lab acts as a second office for Koreena, a place where she can meet clients in a professional setting. She recently won the C. Mark Melliar-Smith leadership award for her outstanding work as a President of Oak Creek Village Tenants Associate. Koreena was able to strike a deal with the City of Austin, multimillion dollar developer, and a neighborhood association, that worked to continue to provide affordable housing for over 600 Austin residents. Koreena is passionate about financial literacy and works tirelessly to educate and inspire Texan women.
Founded in 2013, the Women’s Community Center of Central Texas aims to promote the wellbeing of Texas women and girls and build positive connections among people and organizations that do the same. They host events, workshops, as well as community film screenings every month. The Women’s Community Center of Central Texas provides resources, referrals, and education to women and girls in central Texas. The Center also presents an annual conference, the Women’s Empowerment Conference (WE Con), that boosts a full day of workshops and panels while providing complimentary childcare and Spanish-English interpretation.
